Before You Move Your Chair

Removing the side panels makes your Osaki Master significantly easier and safer to transport. This guide walks you through each step with photos. The entire process takes about 15–20 minutes and requires only a Phillips screwdriver.

⚠️
Before you start: Power off the chair and unplug it from the wall. Allow the chair to return to the upright/home position before powering down.
What You'll Need
Phillips Screwdriver (#2)
Zip-lock bag for screws
Phone camera (for reference)

Tip: Take a photo of each step before disassembly so you have a reference during reassembly.

Overview

There are 2 phases to side panel removal. The hood must come off first to expose the side panel fasteners.

1Remove the Hood — top headpiece cover
2Remove the Side Panels — left side, then right side
Step-by-Step Procedure
1
Remove the Hood
Headpiece cover — 5 sub-steps
ℹ️
The hood is the rounded cover on top of the headrest area. It houses the lampshade decorations and is secured by 4 screws plus a push-fit connection.
1
Remove the lampshade covers. On each side of the hood, locate the round lampshade. Rotate it counterclockwise and gently pat/pull to separate it from the hood.

2
Disconnect the lampshade wiring. Once each lampshade is free, you'll see a small wiring connector behind it. Gently unplug the connector, then set the lampshade aside.

3
Remove the 4 mounting screws. With both lampshades off, you'll see 4 screws (2 on each side) securing the hood to the frame. Remove all 4 with a Phillips screwdriver.
Keep the screws in a labeled bag for reassembly.

Slide the hood off. With all 4 screws removed, push the hood outward to the left and right to release it from the frame. A slight rocking motion may help.

2
Remove the Side Panels
Left side first, then right side — 11 sub-steps
Prerequisite: The hood must be removed first (Phase 1).
Steps A–E: Unfasten Both Side Panels
ℹ️
Steps A through E remove the fasteners that secure both side panels. Complete all five before lifting either panel off.
A
Open the decorative cover flap. On top of each side panel where the hood attached, there is a soft cover flap. Gently peel it back to reveal the mounting area underneath.

Steps F–H: Remove the Left Side Panel
F
Lift the left side panel straight upward. With all screws removed, grip the left side panel firmly and pull it straight up to slide it off the mounting brackets.
The panel may feel snug — a firm, even upward pull will release it.

G
Disconnect the wiring and air hose. With the left panel lifted, you'll see wiring connectors and a small air hose still attached underneath. Carefully unplug each connector and gently pull the air hose off its barb fitting.
Take a photo of the connector arrangement before unplugging — this helps during reassembly.

Steps I–K: Remove the Right Side Panel

Reassembly & Moving Tips
Putting it back together after your move
ℹ️
Reassembly is the reverse of removal. Work backwards: side panels first, then hood.
1
Side Panels: Reconnect each panel's air hose and wiring connectors first, then slide each panel down onto its brackets. Reinstall all screws (10 in back, 2 on outer side, 2 at seat frame). Reattach the decorative cover flaps.
2
Hood: Align the hood and push it inward from both sides until it seats. Install the 4 mounting screws. Reconnect each lampshade's wiring, then twist each lampshade clockwise to lock it in.
💡
Moving Tips:
• Wrap side panels and hood in moving blankets or bubble wrap
• Transport the chair upright if possible
• Keep labeled screw bags taped to the back of the chair
• After reassembly, power on and run a quick test cycle to confirm everything works
